RB College, Dalsinghsarai, was established on August 1, 1960, as a co-educational institution at Dalsinghsarai Block under Samastipur Sub-Division of Darbhanga District, Bihar. The college was founded by two generous landlords, Shri Ramashray Prasad Choudhary and Shri Baleshwar Prasad Choudhary, who contributed land and money to establish the institution. At the time, the locality was deprived of higher education, and the college was established with the mission of spreading education, particularly among the socially and economically weaker sections, women, SC, other backward classes, and minorities.
The college has a vast campus of 25 bighas located near NH 28, with a built-up area of 4900 square meters. It serves as the only institution offering higher education in the region. The college imparts education up to the honors level in five subjects in the Science faculty and nine subjects in Social Science and Humanities. It also offers postgraduate courses in four subjects: Psychology, History, Economics, and Political Science.
To enhance the learning experience, the college utilizes modern electronic tools such as computers, LCD projectors, and smart boards. The institution is well-equipped with spacious classrooms, modern laboratories, a well-stocked library, a reading room, a computer lab, a girls' hostel, sports facilities, and a seminar hall for academic and co-curricular activities.
