Bihar Rajya Fasal Sahayata Yojana is a scheme by the Bihar government that offers financial help to farmers if their crops are damaged by natural disasters like floods or droughts. The scheme provides compensation based on the level of crop damage:
- Up to 20% crop loss: ₹7,500 per hectare.
- More than 20% crop loss: ₹10,000 per hectare.
This scheme covers not only Rabi and Kharif crops but also includes vegetable crops like paddy, maize, soybean, potato, brinjal, tomato, and cabbage.

Who Can Apply?
- Rayat (land-owning) farmers, non-Rayat farmers, and partially Rayat and non-Rayat farmers can all apply.

- Help from officials: Block Cooperative Extension Officers or Executive Assistants.
The process is free, and after verification, the compensation will be directly transferred to the farmer’s Aadhaar-linked bank account through DBT.
Required Documents:
- For Rayat farmers: Updated land ownership certificate (after 31 March 2023) or revenue receipt (after 31 March 2024), and a self-declaration form.
- For non-Rayat farmers: A self-declaration form countersigned by a ward member or farmer advisor.
- For both Rayat and non-Rayat farmers: Both the land ownership certificate and the self-declaration form.
